Muhammad Rafiq Azam (Bengali: রফিক আযম), is an contemporary architect from Bangladesh. He and his firm, Shatotto, specialize in modern architectural aesthetics inspired by the lush, riverine landscape of the Bengal delta, and the ancient architectural heritage of the region. He work confronts dilemmas that challenge all of us navigating within the realm of architecture, clients and contexts. his work deals with the tensions of two opposites; the so called rational and logical [which is building construction/performance standards and subjective essence of being [feelings, moods and experiences].

Rafiq Azam is a graduate from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), 1989. His practice “SHATOTTO architecture for green living” was established in May 1995.
